Complete Exterior Home Transformation in Surrey, BC
Some projects completely change the way a home looks. This was one of them.
When we first arrived, the front of the house looked dated and needed much more than just a fresh coat of paint. The homeowners wanted a modern exterior that would still look great years from now, so we decided to completely redesign the front of the house.
The project started with removing the existing vinyl siding. In its place we installed new Hardie Panels and Hardie Siding. While everything was open, we also replaced fascia boards, rebuilt window trim, replaced damaged exterior trim, and updated many of the details that make the finished home look clean and complete.
One interesting part of this project happened above the garage. We spent almost an entire day building a custom trim design to see how it would look. After stepping back and looking at the whole house, we realized the simpler 1x6 trim matched the scale of the home much better. We removed the custom design and rebuilt it again. Sometimes the best decision is changing your own work before calling it finished.
The gutters were completely refinished as well. Every section was thoroughly sanded, pressure washed, and properly prepared before painting. We changed them from the original green color to a modern dark finish, which completely transformed the look of the house. At the same time, all fascia boards were painted white, creating a clean contrast that makes the entire exterior stand out.
For the house we used Benjamin Moore Aura, one of the highest-quality exterior paints available. Quality paint is important, but the preparation behind it is what really makes the difference. Every surface was cleaned, repaired, sanded, and prepared before any paint was applied.
Looking at the finished result, it’s hard to believe it’s the same house. New Hardie Panels, Hardie Siding, rebuilt trim, new fascia boards, freshly painted gutters, premium paint, and countless small details all came together to create a completely different exterior.
Another project completed, and another happy family enjoying a home that looks brand new.
